Innovation and Transfer
The research staff at the Faculty of Economics and Business is strongly committed to responsible research and innovation. From this perspective, all social actors (researchers, innovation, business and industrial sectors, policy makers, non-governmental organizations, civil society entities, citizens, etc.) must work together throughout the research and innovation process with the aim of aligning both processes and results with the values, needs, and expectations of society.
One of the means through which this greater interconnection between researchers and society is sought is through knowledge transfer projects to companies; local, regional, and national public administrations; and other international institutions. Specifically, the actions we have carried out from the Faculty aim to achieve new forms of collaboration between the public and private sectors through contract research projects, collaborative research projects, and consulting and advisory services. Additionally, the Faculty hosts various chairs and classrooms, managed in collaboration with other institutions and organizations, through which specific fields of study and research in different areas of knowledge are explored. These collaborations can also take place within the framework of the Industrial Doctorates Plan. These actions are carried out in coordination with other entities of the UB Group, such as the Bosch i Gimpera Foundation.
