Degree academic councils

The heads of studies are chosen every four years by the academic council from among the council’s own teaching staff.

For each department at the Faculty there is an academic council made up of a representation of teaching staff, from the departments responsible for teaching, and a representation of students enrolled in the department in a number equal to the number of lecturers in the council and, with voice but without vote, a member of the PTGAS linked to the academic management of the department. The council picks the head of studies and the secretary from among its members.

The academic council is responsible for:

• Ensuring the coherence and interrelation of the subjects of each degree within the framework of the curricula.
• Appointing tutors to advise and supervise students’ curricula.
• Organizing the courses.
• Working on the teaching’s monitoring.
