Objectives and competences

This postgraduate course aims to provide specialized, rigorous and applied training on sexual violence, oriented towards professional practice and based on a comprehensive, multidimensional perspective that takes into account both the characteristics and rights of victims and aggressors.

Throughout the course, students will acquire the necessary skills to intervene in a specialized manner in situations of sexual violence, guaranteeing informed, responsible professional action adapted to the complexity of the phenomenon.

Objectives

Master the state and regional legal and institutional framework in the matter of sexual violence

Define and contextualize sexual violence as a social, cultural phenomenon with legal significance.

Assimilate the principles of victimology applied to intervention with victims, as well as their multidimensional consequences.

Incorporate specialized techniques for addressing and intervening with victims and perpetrators of sexual violence.

Know how to identify the different services, resources and institutions involved in addressing sexual violence.

Final year undergraduate and Master's students, as well as professionals in the fields of law, criminology, psychology, social work, security and other social disciplines interested in addressing sexual violence.

Access requirements and conditions

The course is also open to students with no prior university education, who will acquire the same knowledge and skills and receive a specific qualification for their learner group. Information on the access requirements and other conditions can be obtained from the course directors.
