Objectives and competences

This credential trains the student in musical supervision in the audiovisual field. It works on the selection, licensing and application of music in film projects, advertising, series and other industries such as video games or the performing arts. The programme combines theoretical content and practical examples to develop criteria and skills in music management within audiovisual projects.

Objectives and competences

Objectives

Understand and apply the principles of musical supervision in audiovisual projects.
Students acquire a global vision of the role of the music supervisor and learn to select, contextualize and integrate music in cinema, series, advertising, video games and performing arts, taking into account narrative and production criteria.

Managing musical rights and defining sound strategies adapted to each project.
The legal aspects of copyright, music negotiation and licensing, collaboration with directors, producers, publishers and composers, and budget planning and processes specific to professional musical supervision are worked on.

Applicant profile and access requirements

Recommended applicant profile

People linked to or interested in the professional fields of music, sound, production or audiovisual creation who want to acquire skills in music supervision. There are no mandatory prerequisites, although it is recommended to have basic knowledge about the functioning of audiovisual projects and film narrative.

Access requirements and conditions

The course is also open to students with no prior university education, who will acquire the same knowledge and skills and receive a specific qualification for their learner group. Information on the access requirements and other conditions can be obtained from the course directors.
