Objectives and competences
This course is aimed at dentists who wish to specialize in periodontics following the training specified in the guidelines and quality standards of the European Federation of Periodontics, which requires three years of training. The teaching is theoretical and practical, with preclinical and clinical practices, in which the resident carries out incisionless periodontal therapy procedures, non-surgical peri-implant treatments and periodontal and peri-implant support therapy.

Recommended applicant profile
Graduates in dentistry or in medicine and surgery specializing in stomatology.Students must have completed the Master's Degree in Periodontics and Peri-implantology at the University of Barcelona or an equivalent programme.
Admission requirements: candidates must submit a full curriculum vitae, attend a personal interview, and complete a theory test (20 short-answer questions).
