Objectives and competences

The Master's in Professional Development in Critical Care and Emergencies is a multi-professional and interdisciplinary program, aimed at the various professionals in the field of Health Sciences in the Philippines and South-east Asia with the objective of providing the skills necessary to care for the critically ill. It is a permanent training master's degree awarded by the University of Barcelona, in collaboration with Health Care and Technology Institute Inc. from the Philippines. It has a modular structure, with a total of 60 ECTS credits and is taught in English.

Applicant profile and access requirements

Recommended applicant profile

Diplomas or graduates in Nursing, graduates or graduates in Medicine and other university students from any field of health sciences from the Philippines and other South-east Asian countries. No previous work experience is required.

Access requirements and conditions

The course is also open to students with no prior university education, who will acquire the same knowledge and skills and receive a specific qualification for their learner group. Information on the access requirements and other conditions can be obtained from the course directors.
