Objectives and competences
The main objective of this master's degree is to provide students with a detailed and specialized understanding of the techniques, science and art of traditional and artisan baking. The programmeallows you to take a tour of the various types of products and techniques related to bread making, including kneading, fermentation, shaping and baking, as well as the use of high-quality ingredients. This course aims at fostering the creativity and innovation of students to excel in the bread industry, either as expert bakers or as entrepreneurs. It covers aspects of commercial management for businesses linked to artisan bread.

Recommended applicant profile
- People who have a degree, bachelor's degree, diploma, engineering (technical), architecture (technical) or an equivalent university qualification, or demonstrable professional experience.- Students who hold a UB-specific degree or an undergraduate degree issued by the University of Barcelona can be also admitted to postgraduate courses, as these degrees are considered equivalent university qualifications for this purpose.
- Applicants who do not hold the required university qualification can be admitted to the programme and opt for an advanced university diploma with the same name and number of credits as the postgraduate course.
Access requirements and conditions
