Objectives and competences
Objectives
- Have a basic knowledge of Hungarian orthography and morphology.
- Know the oral and written Hungarian language at the level of simple sentences.
- Acquire the knowledge to understand basic oral and written texts.
Referring to abilities, skills:
- Complete grammar exercises (morphology, syntax, relationship between spoken and written language).
- Produce basic spoken and written communication in Hungarian.
- Use the structures studied in class.
- Understand and translate basic and medium Hungarian texts.
- Be able to write short, simple texts in Hungarian.
- Learn to produce basic and medium spoken interactions.

Referring to attitudes, values and norms
- Promote respect for a diversity of viewpoints, provided that they are well founded and cogently presented.
- Develop a greater sensitivity to inter-cultural communication.
- Value the enriching nature of contact between people.
- Develop a respect for the social, cultural and gender implications of linguistic diversity.
