Objectives and competences

This course offers an in-depth analysis of political communication in the United States, addressing the role of the media, campaign strategies, public opinion and the impact of new technologies. Historical and contemporary cases are analysed to understand how political messages influence society and electoral results. Through a combination of theoretical sessions, debates, case analysis and the participation of invited professionals, participants develop a critical and applied understanding of the communicative dynamics that shape the American political system.

- Acquire a critical and applied understanding of political communication through the study of its theoretical foundations, the role of the media and social networks, as well as the analysis and development of communication strategies in electoral contexts.
