Objectives and competences
Objectives
- To promote the psychological approach to daily oncological clinical practice. - To train as a health professional in the application of effective interventions adapted to the emotional needs of cancer patients and their families.
- To be able to apply brief intervention techniques in real clinical scenarios. - To have the opportunity to put into practice the knowledge acquired through the analysis of real clinical cases and the resolution of problems in the healthcare environment.
- Become aware of the importance of humanizing oncology care. - To acquire a person-centred approach that values dignity, empathy and effective communication, to contribute to closer, more respectful and personalised care.

Applicant profile and access requirements
Recommended applicant profile
- Psychology professionals with experience in oncology.- Oncology professionals who deal with psychological and psychosocial aspects (oncology nursing, health social work, oncology, oncohematology, etc.).
- PIR/MIR/or FIR graduates, bachelor's degree and postgraduate students with an interest in psycho-oncological aspects.
Non-graduates who, due to their professional or personal career, are in a position to follow the course.
Access requirements and conditions
The course is also open to students with no prior university education, who will acquire the same knowledge and skills and receive a specific qualification for their learner group. Information on the access requirements and other conditions can be obtained from the course directors.Pre-enrolment
