Within this comprehensive view, the spiritual dimension acquires an importance equivalent to the biological, psychological and social dimensions. Approaching it from a secular, ethical and health-promoting perspective makes it possible to implement humanizing care. In addition, it helps the person find themselves in better conditions to face unexpected or adverse situations in life with serenity, and to make decisions more consciously.
