Objectives and competences

Objectives

At the end of the course, students will be able to:
1. Describe the basic concepts of clinical intervention studies and the different types of study designs.
2. Explain the steps to design and implement clinical trials.
3. Conduct research in accordance with the principles of good clinical practice.
4. Discuss the ethical aspects and safety procedures to take into account in clinical trials.
5. Recognize and describe the key features of implementation science and the main designs used in impact evaluation.

Students must have taken an introductory course in epidemiology to enrol in this course.

Access requirements and conditions

The course is also open to students with no prior university education, who will acquire the same knowledge and skills and receive a specific qualification for their learner group. Information on the access requirements and other conditions can be obtained from the course directors.
