Objectives and competences

How is the challenge of forming a coalition government in the municipality approached? How should it be managed? How is its functioning evaluated? This training will provide you with practical tools to improve the processes of forming coalition governments in the Catalan local sphere, as well as new skills to better manage these types of governments and, very importantly ? and something you won?t find anywhere else ? the professional competencies needed to evaluate the performance of these governments at the end of each term.

To be capable of understanding, negotiating, formalizing, managing, evaluating and communicating coalition government agreements in the Catalan local sphere, while incorporating tools of political analysis, communication strategy and institutional performance evaluation.

Recommended applicant profile

People engaged in political advising, political journalism, public consultancy, political analysis, as well as candidates, political party members, and councillors.

Access requirements and conditions

The course is also open to students with no prior university education, who will acquire the same knowledge and skills and receive a specific qualification for their learner group. Information on the access requirements and other conditions can be obtained from the course directors.
