Objectives and competences

To gain an understanding of the science of nutrients and how they cause and prevent diet-related diseases, and to evaluate their impact on human health. We will learn to eat to promote our health, based on science. We will have practical debates about real food, the environment in which we consume it and how it affects the way we eat. In addition, we will talk about recent advances in the fields of food science and technology in healthy eating. At the end of the course, we should have the necessary tools to distinguish between foods that favour our health and those that threaten it, based on scientific foundations
