Objectives and competences
This is an introductory course to Global Mental Health, which aims to be a stimulating forum for discussion on mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) as a global problem in need of local solutions. It combines theoretical sessions with practical exercises based on real-life scenarios. International and European experts from clinical, community, research, public health, and humanitarian settings are participating in a discussion of the main current challenges and priorities in global mental health.

- To assess the multi-layered, interdisciplinary and intersectoral components in the organization of optimal mental health and psychosocial support services.
- To adopt an integrated view of mental health and psychosocial support as a cross-cutting component in the field of global health.
