Objectives and competences

This course is part of the teaching project "Deep Tech Brain: Virtual Reality, Artificial Intelligence, Neuroimaging, and Neuromodulation". The course offers training in structural and functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging and Positron Emission Tomography, addressing its physical and physiological principles and safety requirements. Students will learn data acquisition, analysis, and interpretation with open-source tools. Its integration with artificial intelligence, virtual reality and neuromodulation will also be explored, for applications in research and clinical diagnosis.

Objectives and competences

Objectives

- Understand the physical and neurophysiological bases of Magnetic Resonance Imaging and Positron Emission Tomography, to obtain brain images.
- Know the main techniques for processing and analysing morphological and functional images, choosing the most appropriate ones for each study.
- Explore the clinical and research applications of neuroimaging, interpreting the results and critically assessing them in the scientific context.

Access and admission
