Objectives and competences
This program, organized jointly by several institutions of the University of Barcelona, the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, the Faculty of Nursing, the Faculty of Education and the SJD Barcelona Children's Hospital, offers specialized training in clinical simulation and patient safety. Through practice in a real educational context, the program allows students to acquire skills through a 500-hour stay, rotating through the different faculties and simulation centers. It is a face-to-face training that includes a stay of between 4 and 10 months with internationally renowned mentors.

Recommended applicant profile
- Graduates in health sciences (medicine, pharmacy, dentistry, nursing, podiatry, psychology, physiotherapy, bioengineering, nutrition, respiratory therapy), engineers, etc.- Any other graduate with an interest in educational management or clinical or non-clinical simulation.
- Other professionals involved in teaching the health sciences who do not have a university degree (emergency technicians, nursing assistants, simulation technicians).
- The curriculum will be evaluated, as well as the possible transfer of the acquired knowledge explained in a letter of interest and motivations.
Access requirements and conditions
The course is also open to students with no prior university education, who will acquire the same knowledge and skills and receive a specific qualification for their learner group. Information on the access requirements and other conditions can be obtained from the course directors.Pre-enrolment

| Observations | from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Depending on the candidate profile, teaching is shared between the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (Campus Clínic), the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (Campus Sant Joan de Déu and Hospital Sant Joan de Déu), the UB-affiliated Teaching Campus Sant Joan de Déu (Sant Joan de Déu School of Nursing) and the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences Campus Bellvitge - Nursing School Bellvitge (collaboration). A minimum of 40 hours must be carried out in each promoting centre (the three first centres), while the period in the collaborating centre (Nursing School Bellvitge) is optional. |
