Objectives and competences

General objectives: The course prepares students for effective, necessary communication in daily life from level B1.2. The course is focused on the development of oral and written communication. At the end of the course, students could continue with level B.2.

Specific objectives: At the end of the course, it can be developed in most of the conversational situations that may arise during a trip through the language area. You can engage in conversations about a topic that is familiar or interesting, or that is related to everyday life (e.g. Hungarian landscapes, museums, exhibitions) without prior preparation

Objectives

Referring to knowledge
- Learn to make instrumental use of advanced Hungarian+.
- Be able to describe the phonetic, grammatical and lexical structures of Hungarian at an advanced level+
- Understand the normative and descriptive grammar of the Hungarian language.
- Identify and use a spoken or written text with these characteristics.

Referring to abilities, skills

- Be able to produce oral and written texts at an advanced level+.
- Work through advanced grammar exercises+.
- Learn to communicate orally and in writing.
- Know how to make a written or oral demonstration of the competence achieved.

Referring to attitudes, values and norms
- Promote respect for a diversity of viewpoints, provided that they are well founded and cogently presented.
- Develop a greater sensitivity to intercultural communication.
- Value the enriching nature of contact between different languages and cultures.

People interested in reaching level B.1.1 in the Hungarian language.

Access requirements and conditions

The course is also open to students with no prior university education, who will acquire the same knowledge and skills and receive a specific qualification for their learner group. Information on the access requirements and other conditions can be obtained from the course directors.
