Objectives and competences

General objectives: The course prepares students for effective, necessary communication in daily life from level A1. The course is focused on the development of oral and written communication. At the end of the course, students could continue with level A.1.2
Specific objectives: At the end of the course, students will be capable of facing the simplest situations in daily life, such as shopping in the market or in a shop, asking for information, and buying or reserving tickets for a cultural event.

Objectives

Referring to knowledge
- Acquire the fundamentals of applied Hungarian grammar (fundamental level).
- Understand and translate basic oral and written texts.
- Have a basic knowledge of Hungarian orthography and morphology.
- Understand short oral texts of the topics included in the course.
- Be able to discuss the lexical aspects covered during the course.
- To be able to maintain a dialogue on the topics included in the course program.
Referring to abilities, skills
- Be able to discuss the lexical aspects covered during the course.
- Understand and translate simple written texts.
- Complete grammar exercises (morphology, syntax, relationship between spoken and written language).
Referring to attitudes, values and norms
- Promote respect for a diversity of viewpoints, provided that they are well founded and cogently presented.
- Develop a greater sensitivity to intercultural communication.
- Value the enriching nature of contact between people.
