Objectives and competences

The Master's Degree in Clinical Sexology is based on solid scientific and multidisciplinary training in the different aspects of sexual dysfunctions that affect human beings and partner relationships from a bio-psychosocial perspective. With more than nineteen years of teaching, it is a benchmark master's degree in the training of professionals in sexology. Sexual problems can stem from a range of different sources. Biological, cultural and psychological factors may be the cause of sexual disorders. In this context, the master's degree allows you to delve into the variables involved in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of sex and couples from a biopsychosocial perspective

Objectives

- To learn how to define, update and explain the concept of sexuality and its biopsychosocial, human and cultural aspects.
- To know sexual anatomy and physiology, male and female sexual responses, sexually transmitted diseases, sexual dysfunctions, evolution
evolution, the process of constructing sexual identity and determination of sexual roles.
- To understand the role of the sexology professional and learn to carry out professional functions.
- To carry out tasks related to the prevention of sexually transmitted diseases and health education, and to promote good clinical practice and the use of scientific evidence among sexologists
