Objectives and competences

The Law on the Comprehensive Protection of Children and Adolescents against Violence represents a great advance in the field of child protection, promoting the prevention and early detection of violence in various areas. Two key figures are created and must be complied with: the Coordinator of Coexistence, Coeducation and Welfare and the Protection Delegate. The aim of the course is to train these professionals to be able to detect, manage and prevent any situation of violence against children. Child protection is essential to ensure that all children have the opportunity to grow up in a safe environment.

Objectives

The aim of the programme is to train those who will acquire the role of coordinator of co-education, coexistence and well-being in public, private and subsidised educational centres, as well as those who will acquire the role of protection delegate in the field of leisure and sport.

Specific objectives

- Acquire basic skills to exercise the role of COCOBE or protection delegate.
- Learn how to promote and promote safe environments for the protection of children.
- Know and apply both state and regional regulations.
- Learn to manage situations of suspicion or indications of situations of violence, both internally and in the management of families.
- To acquire a focus on prevention and community intervention.

Recommended applicant profile

Aimed at professionals who have to assume the role, or want to train, in the role of COCOBE for educational centers or Protection Delegate for sports and/or leisure centers.

Access requirements and conditions

The course is also open to students with no prior university education, who will acquire the same knowledge and skills and receive a specific qualification for their learner group. Information on the access requirements and other conditions can be obtained from the course directors.
