Objectives and competences
The Advanced Instructor in Clinical Simulation course is an innovative program to consolidate skills in educational and clinical debriefing, teamwork and Crisis Resource Management from a teaching point of view. It offers a combination of theory, gamification and practices to enable participants to design and conduct autonomous and multidisciplinary debriefings under the standards of good practice and the best available evidence. Aimed at teachers with previous experience in simulation and debriefing who have completed an instructor course. Proof of training and experience in admission is required.

Objectives
- Master the science of teamwork dynamics: Explore the concepts of Crisis Resource Management (CRM) and other methodologies to optimize the performance of multidisciplinary teams in clinical and educational contexts.
- Design advanced simulation scenarios: Create, plan and implement complex simulated situations adapted to training needs and standards of good practice in simulation.
- Improve educational debriefing: Conduct debriefings in educational contexts with advanced techniques that promote critical thinking, self-reflection and meaningful learning.
- Master clinical debriefing: Apply advanced strategies to assess and improve the clinical and non-technical performance of healthcare professionals through structured debriefing sessions.
- Work autonomously in multidisciplinary debriefings: Conduct complex debriefings with diverse teams, integrating scientific evidence and good practices to enhance collaboration and professional development.

Recommended applicant profile
Teachers, technicians, managers (directors, coordinators, administrators), researchers and other professionals who wish to deepen their knowledge of clinical simulation, debriefing and teamwork in the field of health sciences, both from a theoretical and practical perspective.A background in health sciences is not required. However, it is a prerequisite to have experience in simulation and debriefing, as well as having previously completed an instructor course.
Access requirements and conditions
The course is also open to students with no prior university education, who will acquire the same knowledge and skills and receive a specific qualification for their learner group. Information on the access requirements and other conditions can be obtained from the course directors.Pre-enrolment
