Objectives and competences
Objectives
- Prepare students to manage, analyse and interpret large data sets in different business and financial contexts, using advanced programming and statistical analysis tools.
- Development of programming skills: Teach the use of programming languages such as R and Python, essential for data manipulation and statistical analysis in data science.
- Training in the use of Artificial Intelligence technologies: Integrate knowledge of machine learning and natural language processing for the development of predictive models and the extraction of value from data sets.
- Practical application of advanced financial analytics: To equip students with the necessary skills to apply statistical and data mining methods to financial market analysis, investment optimization, and risk management.
- Promote critical thinking and problem-solving: To promote the use of data analysis to solve complex problems in the business and financial environment, through the use of practical and real cases.
- Preparation for professional certifications: Offer students the opportunity to prepare for industry-recognized certifications, such as the Chartered Market Technician (CMT).
