Objectives and competences

Objectives

- Understand the spiritual dimension of the person in a holistic, ethical, secular and salutogenic context.
- Examine the biological, neuroscientific, anthropological, sociological and philosophical scientific bases in relation to spirituality.
Identify salutogenic factors from the different current cultural, religious and social approaches.
- To study the scientific evidence on the relationship between health and spiritual care and the variables and determinants of health.
- To analyse in a plural way the different responses of the human being to the transcendent and its expressions in spiritual health.
To know and incorporate tools for accompaniment, assessment, diagnosis, intervention and education in spiritual health from interdisciplinary models based on scientific evidence.
- To integrate the competences for the care of spirituality in the health and social spheres.
