Objectives and competences

The main objective of this master's degree is to train specialist assessors who are experts in documentary and graphological analysis. The course makes use of the most up-to-date techniques for identifying and comparing handwriting and signatures, assessing and deciphering graphic aspects of writing and detecting forgeries of documents and commercial products. It also includes content on forensic linguistics. To this end, basic theoretical training is provided on the processes and practice in writing clear and well-grounded reports, the conclusions of which must be perfectly aligned with the checks and comparisons performed.

- Degree and diploma holders in law, criminology and private investigation and university graduates in general who are interested in gaining specific knowledge of expert evidence in relation to calligraphy, graphology and documents applied to counterfeit and forgery of written documents and products.
- Civil servants and applicants with a direct link to this professional area, who wish to refresh and complete their current knowledge.

Access requirements and conditions

The course is also open to students with no prior university education, who will acquire the same knowledge and skills and receive a specific qualification for their learner group. Information on the access requirements and other conditions can be obtained from the course directors.
