Objectives and competences

The Faculty of Law of the University of Barcelona organizes the 26th edition of this higher course, aimed at training as a director of private security to meet the current needs of this professional sector. The aim of the course is to acquire specialized training in the top management of private security, given the current need to have professionals with university training in this field. The course provides specific, technical training on security strategies and plans along with a practical activity related to managerial tasks and company and department administration, which enables students to obtain the professional ID card (TIP) required in the security industry.

Applicant profile and access requirements

Recommended applicant profile

University degree holders and people with experience in this professional area who are interested in gaining advanced training in the management of private security and the management of security companies.

Students who successfully complete the course receive the official qualification of Security Director from the Ministry of Home Affairs (resolution 1 February 2011).

Access requirements and conditions

The course is also open to students with no prior university education, who will acquire the same knowledge and skills and receive a specific qualification for their learner group. Information on the access requirements and other conditions can be obtained from the course directors.
