Systemic autoimmune diseases are disorders where the immune system mistakenly attacks healthy body tissues, affecting multiple organs. Continuing education is crucial for its proper handling for several reasons: it helps in complex diagnosis, allows to be up to date with constant scientific advances, facilitates a multidisciplinary approach, prepares to apply innovative treatments, encourages research, improves personalized attention to patients, prepares to manage serious complications and addresses psychosocial aspects of these diseases. This specialized training is essential to provide the best care to patients.
