Objectives and competences

Cancer is an illness with an increasing incidence. Its connotations of death, threat, and undeserved reprisal make it unique in terms of its psychological repercussions. The increase in successfully cured cases is contrasted with an increase in new diagnoses, longer advanced stages, and the many issues that patients and families face, which have led to the development of psycho-oncology. The Master's Degree in Psycho-oncology provides theoretical and practical training in the medical characteristics of oncological diseases and their treatment as well as the selection of a suitable psychological approach for each clinical situation.
