Objectives and competences

This advanced university diploma course comprises a comprehensive culinary programme that allows students to design and execute extraordinary culinary creations. The course makes use of a unique approach consisting of daily cooking practice, video tutorials and other contemporary resources for teaching and learning, experimentation and innovation with sustainable criteria. This diploma course allows students to learn and master basic cooking techniques in nine months. The course will conclude with the Pop-Up Gastronomic Experience, a catering and gastronomy project that can be fully applied to real clients.

- To acquire the knowledge, skills and practical experience to become a professional chef and pastry cook.
- To have a broad view of gastronomy and traditional and avant-garde cuisine.
- To design and draw up catering services and gastronomic offerings that respond to the current market and consumers, considering culinary, operational and management aspects.
- To acquire the main tools required to be able to design and start a catering and food business.
- To develop the capacity to create memorable gastronomic experiences for the twenty-first century customer.
