Objectives and competences
Taking a closer look at nature reveals surprising colours, hidden textures and an infinite number of photographic opportunities that are both aesthetically pleasing and scientifically interesting, both documentary and descriptive.
But the physics of light complicates the act of looking very closely at objects. It is very difficult to focus, the depth of field is shallow, light is scarce and the slightest movement of the camera results in a loss of sharpness.
This course presents the most effective techniques for overcoming these difficulties and the materials that bring objects into even sharper focus to capture even the tiniest details.
