Objectives and competences

The new postgraduate course is structured around comprehensive training for professionals in the field of all alternative dispute resolution systems in accordance with the challenges the future law on procedural efficiency measures will pose. This is the first postgraduate course that includes training and an exhaustive study of the different methods of conflict resolution existing alongside mediation, such as conciliation, negotiation, collaborative law, arbitration, etc. along with a module comparing these with conflict resolution through regular legal channels.

Objectives and competences

Objectives

This programme provides mediators, arbitrators, independent third parties and lawyers a comprehensive, practical training in the field of mediation on all alternative dispute resolution (ADR) systems. It likewise provides them with an introduction to the judicial process in order to specialize in conflict resolution, deepening the knowledge on both existing alternative systems to the processes currently included in the Spanish legal system and others that are commonly used in neighbouring legal systems: negotiation, conciliation, blended systems, restorative practices and collaborative law, among others.

Access requirements and conditions
