Objectives and competences

The master's degree is a specialization in the prevention, detection and intervention of developmental disorders, whether serious and permanent or mild and transitory, that may appear in the first stages of the child's life, as well as intervention in the socio-educational and health environment of the child and his family. It provides the tools needed to enhance the child's capacity for development and well-being as well as therapeutic resources and strategies to guide and advise families, assisting parents in the process of parenting or in the process of accepting and adapting to the specific needs and difficulties of their children.

Objectives

- Acquire the training for professional practice in the field of early care.
- To acquire knowledge and therapeutic working strategies with children presenting reductions, disorders or disharmonies in their development or who are in risk of presenting them (whether severe and permanent or mild and temporary disorders).
- To acquire resources to work with families in their environment.
- To put the theoretical contents acquired in the first year into practice in real cases.
- To reflect subjectively on the practical experience to grow as a professional.

Recommended applicant profile

Psychologists, physiotherapists, speech therapists, social workers, social educators, childhood education professionals, neuropediatricians, neuropsychologists, special education teachers and psychomotor specialists who are interested in working in the field of early care interventions or who want to refresh their knowledge in this field.
