Objectives and competences
The aim of this course is to enable participants to prepare medical histories in pediatric neurology, to gain a foundational diagnostic understanding of the most common syndromes in pediatric neurology and to be familiar with the basics of child development and the examination techniques used in the department: EEG, video-EEG, nocturnal polysomnography, EEG in the ICU and neonatal units, EMG, VEP, CTEP, ERG, PES, intraoperative monitoring, botulinum toxin, baclofen pump, cranial ultrasound through the fontanel, MRI, cranial CT, neurocognitive assessment, monitoring of at-risk newborns and epilepsy surgery.
