Objectives and competences

Maternal and Reproductive Health course, which aims to be a forum for students who want to work in the field of global health and understand the main issues and challenges of maternal and reproductive health in low- and middle-income countries. Students will contrast and discuss key bottlenecks and challenges to improving women's health in these areas. Integrates scientific evidence with clinical management of major maternal health issues and public health interventions. You will discuss the political and contextual factors that can have an impact on women's health in LMIC countries.

Objectives

- To acquire a critical understanding of the main challenges in maternal and reproductive health in low- and middle-income countries.
To acquire the tools and knowledge relevant to maternal and reproductive health interventions, health policies and development through a programme combining epidemiological data with clinical information and health policies.

Professionals with training, experience or a general a general interest in the main challenges in maternal and reproductive health, with a focus on low- and middle-income countries.

Access requirements and conditions

The course is also open to students with no prior university education, who will acquire the same knowledge and skills and receive a specific qualification for their learner group. Information on the access requirements and other conditions can be obtained from the course directors.
