Objectives and competences

The course is intended for students interested in Hungarian language and culture and who already have a level A2 in Hungarian. 2. In addition to practising the Hungarian language in class, students will learn a little
about day-to-day Hungarian culture and cuisine as well as some of Hungary's most renowned writers. A culinary event will take place at the end of the course to give students the opportunity to try typical Hungarian dishes. The textbook is called Jó napot kívánok and was published in Hungary.

Objectives

General objectives: The course prepares students for effective, necessary communication in daily life from level A2.2. The course focuses on
the development of oral and written communication skills. At the end of the course, students could continue with level A.2+
Specific objectives: By the end of the course, students will be able to speak about free-time activities, about tourist destinations, everyday problems, plans for the future, and their jobs.

This course is intended for people interested in learning Hungarian who have already achieved level 2.2 in the language and who have already worked with the book MagyarOK A.1.

Access requirements and conditions

The course is also open to students with no prior university education, who will acquire the same knowledge and skills and receive a specific qualification for their learner group. Information on the access requirements and other conditions can be obtained from the course directors.
