Objectives and competences

This consolidated master's degree provides up-to-date, comprehensive and practical training in public policies that have a social impact. It provides professional training in how to design and assess policies with an impact on society as well as how to effectively regulate and improve legislation.

It is the first master's degree in Spain with equal quality training in political science and administrative law applied to social rights and equality policies.

The master's degree addresses public policies in different fields: social issues, gender, diversity, health, education, culture, employment, childhood, adolescence, senior citizens, people with disabilities, migration, political participation, innovation and other new public policies.

Objectives and competences

Objectives

- To gain a solid understanding of intersectoral public policies applied to social rights and equality policies through high-quality training in this subject.
- To acquire the training needed to act as a manager or higher-level staff member at NGOs and third-sector non-profit organizations involved in policies with social impact.
- To gain the training needed to work as an advisor, analyst or consultant in impact policies.
- To acquire the skills and knowledge needed to become a public manager, deputy director, middle manager, head of service, head of section and similar level staff, technician or other public positions.
-To specialize as an expert for graduates in political science, law, management and public administration, sociology, economics, communication, journalism, architecture, engineering, social work, social education, psychology, anthropology, history, pedagogy, philosophy, labour relations, global studies or humanities.

Access requirements and conditions

The course is also open to students with no prior university education, who will acquire the same knowledge and skills and receive a specific qualification for their learner group. Information on the access requirements and other conditions can be obtained from the course directors.
