Objectives and competences
This diploma is a postgraduate course designed for people interested in acquiring the knowledge they need to address health problems using a global and transdisciplinary approach. The course consists of the first two modules of the Master's in Global Health (Global Health Fundamentals I and II), requires the completion of 30 ECTS credits over five months of study and employs a participatory methodology based on case studies, problem solving and discussion. Upon completion, students may choose to continue their studies and pursue the full master's degree.

Objectives and competences
Objectives
To understand the complex relations between health and other disciplines such as economics, political sciences and epidemiology.
- To participate in the development of sustainable solutions that contribute to improving quality and access to health, especially in the most disadvantaged populations.
- To work in multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement solutions to the main problems and challenges in global health, demonstrating a concern for ethical practice and respect for human rights.

Recommended applicant profile
- Graduates in health and social sciences, and related disciplines (life sciences, economics, sociology, anthropology, etc.) with an interest in a multidisciplinary global approach to the major challenges of world health.- Health professionals and other professionals in related disciplines.
- Employees of NGOs, foundations, public-private partnerships and aid agencies.
- Civil servants and academics wishing to broaden their knowledge of global health.
Access requirements:
- University degree, diploma or equivalent university qualification.
- Detailed curriculum vitae and statement of interest.
The diploma will be taught in Spanish and English, depending on the subjects and each of the professors} mother tongues. Most materials and most of the bibliography are in English. As such, students must have a good working knowledge of Spanish and English. If they are not the student's mother tongue, proof of their level must be provided.
Access requirements and conditions
The course is also open to students with no prior university education, who will acquire the same knowledge and skills and receive a specific qualification for their learner group. Information on the access requirements and other conditions can be obtained from the course directors.Pre-enrolment
