Objectives and competences

The master's degree in Integrated Dentistry for Adults (MIA) at the UB began in 2002. It was and remains a pioneering programme in Europe aimed at training professionals with a multidisciplinary vision of dentistry, able to treat complex cases with a high level of quality, applying protocols based on scientific evidence and always prioritizing the most beneficial in the long term for the patient (Excellence, Evidence and Ethics). The main objectives are the training of multidisciplinary dentists with a high professional level, developing research projects following the principles of the scientific method and training future teachers in dentistry.

Objectives

- To be able to plan, structure and carry out complex rehabilitations that involve various areas of dentistry with a multidisciplinary, minimally invasive, evidence-based approach.
- To be capable of developing research projects following a suitable methodology based on the principles of the scientific method.
- To learn to teach dentistry to any health professional.

Recommended applicant profile

Graduates in dentistry or in medicine and surgery specializing in stomatology.

It is important to bear in mind that the duration of the complete education is three years, missing in this form the diploma of "Specialist in Multidisciplinary Dentistry" which would be done in the 3rd year.
