Objectives

What you will learn You will learn to assess, diagnose, address and treat a range of conditions as a skilled physiotherapist. You will become accustomed to working in a foreign language from the outset of the degree and will use interactive digital content to acquire a broad understanding of the latest technological developments for diagnostic imaging and treatment, harnessing the combined knowledge of the University School of Health and Sport (EUSES, UdG) and the School of New Interactive Technologies (ENTI, UB). You will learn to work in teams, to employ flexible methodologies, and to define your ideal role in the many specialist areas of physiotherapy, which will inform your choice of subject matter for the final degree project. * Currently being validated. Recommended applicant profile

  • English proficiency (the degree is taught entirely in English).
  • Capacity to establish cause-effect relationships.
  • Sufficient knowledge of experimental sciences: mathematics, physics, chemistry and biology.
  • Knowledge of computer science at a user level and interest in new technologies.
  • Skills in independent learning, teamwork, analysis, leadership and search of bibliographic sources.
  • Motivation for physiotherapy studies: vocation to serve and care for others.
  • Awareness of the need for continuous training throughout professional life.
  • Interest in working in groups, ability to adapt to new situations, international openness and empathy.
     

Access requirements and conditions

Admission for students with studies completed outside Spain.

Applicants holding higher educational qualifications from a university outside Spain should consult the page Admission with foreign qualifications to find out about specific admission requirements.
 

Pre-enrolment

Students that have studied abroad and who wish to study at the University of Barcelona may be admitted to EHEA bachelor's degree courses. Procedures for gaining admission will depend on the qualifications held by each applicant.

Enrolment

Previous years

Placements

Placements are supervised by tutors and subject to assessment.They are therefore included in the academic record.  There is also an option to complete non-curricular placements of up to 500 hours, which can be extended to 900 hours. For both curricular and non-curricular placements, an educational cooperation agreement is signed between the UB and the company, institution or other organization at which the placement will be carried out.

What can you work on ?

You will have the skills to work as an independent professional or as part of a multidisciplinary team in the fields of traumatology, sports injury, pediatrics, cardiology and respiratory medicine, urogynecology and rheumatology. You will also have the expertise for teaching in the field of ergonomics, for neurological rehabilitation, and for creating interactive educational materials for physiotherapy in general.
