Objectives and competences
Objectives
- To develop analytical, critical, and interpretive skills, as well as professional preparation and a practical approach to the professional reality through internships.
- To develop new creative approaches.
- To acquire research knowledge and work procedures to transform the needs of the client into communicative solutions.
- To acquire general knowledge of the tasks of professionals in advertising and public relations, as well as the elements that make up the communication system, to apply them to real-life situations.
- To acquire a strategic attitude of anticipation and adaptation to changes, as well as the ability to detect and solve problems.
- To communicate effectively (promoting teamwork and decision-making) with proficiency in the languages of the community (and preferably English).
- To carry out and evaluate actions and speeches to develop communication campaigns, with the application of various technologies.

Recommended applicant profile
The recommended profile for admission to this degree is that of a person with communication skills, ease in expressing ideas, and notable creative capacity, with an interest in communication and public relations in general, and specifically in advertising and marketing.
It is also advisable to have a capacity to adapt to the evolution of information and communication technology, especially in creative and communicative tools. Additionally, strong skills in the official languages of the UB and in English are essential.

Placements
Placements are supervised by tutors and subject to assessment.They are therefore included in the academic record. There is also an option to complete non-curricular placements of up to 500 hours, which can be extended to 900 hours. For both curricular and non-curricular placements, an educational cooperation agreement is signed between the UB and the company, institution or other organization at which the placement will be carried out.
