Language

Doctoral theses can be submitted and defended in any of the official languages of Catalonia (Catalan, Occitan or Spanish) or in English. They may also be submitted in specific languages as defined for each doctoral programme. Check your doctoral programme. 

In addition, the Academic Committee can authorize the preparation and deposit of doctoral theses in any language of common scientific, technical or artistic use. It will be necessary, however, to receive the authorization of the Academic Committee and the supervisor, and the choice of language must be taken into account when appointing the examination panel.
