Organization of research

The Centre aims to promote, project and disseminate research and knowledge transfer in its specialized field, which is the economic development of our societies from a long-term perspective. The Centre promotes collaboration with public and private entities, promotes scientific advice in the field of its competence, edits scientific publications and carries out communication and dissemination actions of the activities carried out.

El BEAT it tries to be the answer that the Faculty of Economics and Business of the UB wants to give to a time that, in the field of economic research, are characterized by significant reductions in R&D investment by public administrations and has the tendency to create research groups capable of facing the challenges that our society has posed such as immigration, increasing obesity, sustainable economic growth or new online business models, among others.

The XREPP is an initiative of the Generalitat de Catalunya to integrate the main university researchers in Catalonia who study the design and evaluation of public policies from an economic point of view. The Network incorporates several research groups, including the Research Group on Globalization, Economic Inequality and Public Policies in Historical Perspective

he Family Firms Interdisciplinary Research Network is an academic network made up of academics from different scientific disciplines and countries who share a common interest in the exchange of knowledge about methodologies and theories related to family businesses, in a virtual and informal way. Our common objective is to share scientific tools that significantly improve the analysis of specific cases and above all that favor the comparison and the elaboration of general conclusions. The network offers information on distinguished scholars from different disciplines and countries specialized in the study of family businesses, in order to promote possibilities for: contact, organization of activities, exchange of knowledge and debate.
