  • The Area of Legal History offers the opportunity to pursue a doctoral thesis within the research fields specific to the discipline, as part of the PhD Program in Law and Political Science at the University of Barcelona.

    Prospective candidates must have completed at least 300 ECTS credits (of which a minimum of 60 must correspond to an official master's degree or equivalent) at a Spanish or foreign university. They must contact one of the professors from the relevant areas to supervise the doctoral thesis on an agreed topic.

    The title of Doctor of Law, awarded after the public defense of the doctoral thesis, represents the highest academic degree in Spain and certifies the acquisition of competencies and skills related to high-quality scientific research.
