Economic Theory

The Economic Theory section is very active in research and encourages its members to publish in high-quality scientific journals. The section organizes a weekly seminar with international presenters and an internal seminar on Macroeconomics and Microeconomics. We also have a visitors program to facilitate international collaborations between researchers. Our research interests encompass Microeconomics and Macroeconomics, including economic theory and applied economics approaches. The research environment is collaborative and friendly. Most of the section's researchers belong to the BEAT Institute and the UB School of Economics.    

The Economic Theory section teaches the bulk of its subjects in the different degrees of the Faculty of Economics and Business. Most of the teaching is related to economic theory. Additionally, the section teaches Economic subjects in other degrees outside the Faculty of Economics and Business. Part of the teaching is in English.
