Our goal is to co-create a new innovative model for European higher education in line with European values, the European Green Deal, and the UN Sustainable Development Goals. CHARM-EU is coordinated by the University of Barcelona and comprises eight partner universities from Europe: Trinity College Dublin, Utrecht University, University of Montpellier, Eötvös Loránd University Budapest, Åbo Akademi University, Julius-Maximilians University Würzburg, Ruhr West University of Applied Sciences, and University of Bergen.

CHARM-EU was one of the first seventeen European universities selected by the European Commission in the European Universities Initiative in 2019. This alliance is designed to promote the quality, inclusivity, and competitiveness of European higher education. CHARM-EU is for everyone: students, researchers, professional staff, and academics. The alliance offers master’s programs, such as the Master’s in Global Challenges for Sustainability, as well as courses, research clusters, networking events, and mobility opportunities.
