IPERC supports interdisciplinary research on political institutions and their relationship with economic change and development, from a dynamic, long-term perspective. Its activity lies at the intersection of Political Science, Political Economy and Economic History. The Centre aims at contributing to a better understanding of the political and economic impact of current global challenges, including climate change, inequality or the spread of authoritarianism, among others.
