UB-Danone Chair in Healthy and Sustainable Food
The University of Barcelona and Danone signed an agreement on 29 May 2015, renewed in 2024, to develop a platform that supports a range of teaching, training, information, and documentation activities in the field of human nutrition: the UB–Danone Chair in Healthy and Sustainable Food.

UB FOCUS‑INNOFOOD Platform to drive innovation in the agri‑food sector.
The University of Barcelona, through the Torribera Food Campus, and the company TranxformaFood have launched the UB‑FOCUS INNOFOOD platform to boost business creation and innovation in the agri‑food sector. Its main objective is to promote entrepreneurship and the transfer of the knowledge generated at the University in the fields of food, nutrition, and gastronomy to the food and gastronomic industry.

Activities with the city of Santa Coloma
On 6 November 2018, the agreement “Santa Coloma, University City” was signed to formalise the city as the third university hub in the metropolitan area of Barcelona, after Barcelona and Cerdanyola del Vallès. The agreement represents the commitment of five institutions —the University of Barcelona, through the Food Campus; the UNED; the Dr. Emili Mira i López Care Centres – Parc de Salut Mar (CAEM‑PSMar); the Hospital de l’Esperit Sant Foundation; and the Santa Coloma de Gramenet City Council— to continue jointly developing projects that support undergraduate, postgraduate, and higher education studies, as well as the important teaching and research activity carried out in the city.
