Program:
TARTA RELENA - February 1
Tarta Relena is formed by Marta and Helena, they work with their voices. They adjust songs and poems and experiment with different techniques, vocal colors and tones, which result from singing together. With their harmonies and sophisticated polyphonies they seek the complexity in simplicity and the maximum expression with the fewer possible elements. After charming us with their first performances, they will present their debut album, Ora Pro Nobis.
MARTA CASCALES ALIMBAU - February 8
Pianist and composer from Barcelona, with a classic training but modern will. After her artistic stay in San Francisco, she has published her debut album Light-house. She has performed worldwide and understands music as a means of communication and connection to the public. She is passionate about collaborating with other arts such as dance, cinema and sculpture. She will perform together with the violinist Mireia Vila and cello Irene Labrador.
ESCARTEEN SISTERS - February 15
A duet formed by the sisters Flavia and Laia Escartín, who present their first album with their own works and some musical arrangement with emblematic songs. They say they are a string quartet, because they sing and play at the same time. Influenced by the surrounding nature from their house in Penedès, they create organic and indefinable music, which brings them closer to the ones they love the most.
AWWZ - February 22
Gemma is a producer and DJ from Barcelona. Despite being an emerging talent, she has become one of the reference artists in Spain and Latin America thanks to her live music and edited singles of rhythmic flows, velvety voices and vaporous textures. She has performed in prestigious international events and has collaborated with distinguished artists. Futurist beats, contemporary pop and R&B turn Awwzʼs showermusic in a magnetic sounding waterfall.
Mireia Madroñero has been in charge of the artistic direction and coordination of the cycle, produced by Bankrobber and sponsored by Estrella Damm.
