Maria Feliu Torruella, lecturer at the Department of Applied Didactics in the Faculty of Education at the University of Barcelona, has expanded her range of strategic responsibilities.
With this task, Professor Feliu will be in charge of promoting training in science communication and dissemination within the university community, and promoting the recognition of this work as part of the academic career. In addition, she will be responsible for participating in and promoting joint dissemination actions with other universities and institutions, both at national and international level. Finally, she will represent the University in outreach initiatives that seek to increase the social impact of scientific knowledge.

Among other functions, she will establish the action policy of the Doctoral School, which includes the management of pre-doctoral contracts, the attention to doctoral students, as well as the promotion of inter-university doctorates and industrial doctorates. She will also be responsible for internationalizing doctoral programmes and promoting the research activity of junior teaching and research staff. One of her main objectives is to set up the programme for attracting postdoctoral talent, with the aim of promoting the recruitment of young researchers of excellence on a national and international scale.
With a PhD in Didactics of Social Sciences and Heritage from the UB, Maria Feliu has led research projects related to heritage and educational innovation. Her teaching career includes the coordination of bachelor’s and master’s degrees, supervising nine successful doctoral theses.
