- Els Vespres de la UB: River Omelet

The University of Barcelona‘s Vespres d‘Estiu, one of the city‘s most popular and much-loved summer cultural activities, is now in its 20th year. And, as every year, the setting is the Ferran Soldevila garden of the Historic Building.
As usual, the free open-air concerts will be preceded by performances by the winners of Sona UB, the music competition through which the University promotes the musical talent of its community. This year‘s guest artists are Nina Barceló, La Laie, Baleria and Las Amigas de lo Ajeno.
The second concert features the Gràcia folk trio River Omelet (Nina Barceló as opening act artist). With Anglo-Saxon influences, three-part harmonies and a touch of indie pop, their lyrics combine everyday life and fantasy. In 2023, they released the album The bad things we did right, characterized by an energetic sound between folk, swing and rock. In 2026, they will present a new album with songs in Catalan and outstanding collaborations from the Catalan scene.
